A New England shop that still does the work.
Fifty years of designing, installing, and servicing technology systems — the same people on the drawing and on the ladder.
We are the ones who come back.
Plenty of companies will sell you a system. Fewer will still be answering the phone about it in year seven, when a firmware update has changed something and the room stops behaving.
Founded in 1976 and incorporated in 1981, TCS Communications Corp. is a technology systems integrator based in Salisbury, Massachusetts, serving clients throughout New England. We design, install, and support audio and video systems, lighting and shading, control and automation, networks, surveillance, and communications infrastructure — for private homes, businesses, schools, houses of worship, and public agencies.
Our work spans two worlds that are usually kept apart: high-end residential integration and mission-critical commercial and public safety communications. Doing both keeps us honest. The residential side demands that a system be genuinely pleasant to use; the public safety side demands that it never fail. Every project gets a bit of both standards.
We are large enough to engineer and document a project properly, and small enough that you will know the people doing it.

Opinionated where it matters. Flexible everywhere else.
We are certified on several control and AV platforms rather than tied to one, because the right answer genuinely differs by project. What we are inflexible about is infrastructure, documentation, and labelling — the parts nobody sees and everybody depends on.
Four things we do not compromise on.
Infrastructure first
Cable, conduit, rack space, power, and cooling planned before anything is bought. It is the only part of the job you cannot fix later.
02Document everything
Labelled terminations, as-built drawings, IP schedules. If someone else has to service it in ten years, they should be able to.
03Design for the user
If the room needs a manual, the design is wrong. Simple, consistent, and obvious beats clever every time.
04Answer the phone
Support is not an upsell attached to the end of a project. It is most of what a long relationship actually consists of.
The people behind the work.
Engineers, programmers, installers, and project managers — most of whom have been doing this a long time.

Field & installation
Installation techniciansThe crew who pull the cable, build the racks, and set the equipment — and who are on site long enough to catch the problems drawings do not show.

Engineering & programming
Design & controlSystem design, signal flow, network architecture, and the control programming that turns a rack full of equipment into something with one button on it.

Project management
Coordination & serviceThe people who keep schedules, coordinate with your other trades, run the punch list, and pick up the phone when you call afterwards.

The first conversation costs nothing and usually clarifies a lot.
